How to check an Arkansas medical marijuana dispensary
In Arkansas, only licensed dispensaries may sell medical marijuana, and only to people with an active registry ID card. Check the dispensary on the state’s list before you buy. If you can’t find it and the state can’t confirm its license, don’t buy there.

1. Make sure your registry card is active
Your registry ID card lasts up to one year. You can renew it up to 60 days before it expires, with a new physician certification. Once your card expires, you can’t buy until your new card is issued.1
If you applied online, you can log in to see how much of your 2.5-ounce, 14-day limit is left.1 For help with your card, call the Department of Health at 1-833-214-8619 (toll-free) or 501-682-4982 , 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.2
2. Check the dispensary on the state’s list
To be protected under Arkansas law, you must buy from a licensed Arkansas dispensary.1 The Medical Marijuana Commission posts a list of dispensary locations by zone.3
- Open the Commission’s dispensary list . It is a PDF.
- Find the dispensary by name. Some stores list a former name too.3
- Check that the street address and city match the store you plan to visit.
The list may be out of date. Its file name is dated March 2020, and it shows fewer stores than the 37 licensed dispensaries the state reported for July 2024 to June 2025.34 If a store isn’t on it, call the Commission at 501-682-1105 to ask before you buy.5
Delivery: a licensed dispensary may deliver between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., only to the Arkansas home address on your card. The driver must check your card, and you sign for the order. Delivery can’t go to a hotel, dorm or business.6
3. Check the label and the package
A dispensary label shows the producer’s name and license number, a unique ID number, the harvest date, the strain, the net weight, the THC and CBD amounts, and the name of the testing lab with the test date. It also shows the state’s universal symbol and a warning to keep it away from children.6
Keep medical marijuana in the dispensary’s package.1 Containers must be child-proof.6
Warning signs
- Anyone else selling “medical marijuana.” Only licensed dispensaries may sell it.1
- A seller that takes an out-of-state card without a visiting patient card. Visitors with another state’s card must first get a 90-day Arkansas visiting patient card.1
- More than 2.5 ounces in 14 days. A dispensary may not sell you more than that, and it must check your balance each time.7
- Edibles with more than 10 mg of THC per portion, or packages shaped like animals or characters or made to look like candy.6
If something doesn’t look right
We did not find an online complaint form for dispensaries. You can call the Medical Marijuana Commission at 501-682-1105 .5 For problems with your registry card, call the Department of Health at 1-833-214-8619 .2 If you think a product made you sick, call Poison Help first.
